Jesus said, when asked if He was King by Pilate, “... I was born and came into the world to testify to the truth. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true.” It also says in Isaiah that God’s word never returns void. It accomplishes whatever it was sent out to do. Here in proverbs chapter 30, we get another glimpse of the unlimited, unrestrained power of God’s word. It’s true, and it protects all that come to Him for refuge. If we can’t base our existence on that, and accept this concept of absolute truth, then we deserve to live a life of uncertainty, searching endlessly for meaning, purpose, and security.
5 Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to Him for protection.
Proverbs 30:5
