God always repays people with what they deserve. He repays people’s good with good, and people’s evil with calamity. Always. Those who repent may be punished, but they won’t be destroyed. His Grace is sufficient. The average person knows this deep down inside, but they forget because they suppress that tiny voice with their evil deeds.
3 But this is what the Lord says:“I will reward your evil with evil;you won’t be able to pull your neck out of the noose.You will no longer walk around proudly,for it will be a terrible time.”
