How often do you hear people talk about land being taken by foreigners as their own? So many people talk about Israel and the West Bank. They even talk about the Native American Indians having their land stolen by white man. They argue it’s not right for people to do that. They argue for the native people to get their land back. How about we start by giving back their own property first (I’d love to see their reaction to that). It’s a shame that some of these people call themselves Christians. I guess these people have never read their Bibles very carefully. Doesn’t God own it all? Isn’t it His prerogative to give it to whom He chooses? Isn’t God sovereign? How many of us forget this, getting caught up in the politics of our day? You either trust God being sovereign, or you don’t. Your words reveal what’s truly in your heart. It shows where your true loyalties lie.
5 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My jealous anger burns against these nations, especially Edom, because they have shown utter contempt for Me by gleefully taking My land for themselves as plunder.
Ezekiel 36:5
