It’s hard to fathom that we can learn about Jesus in the Old Testament, before He came. But when you think about it, when you read about the character of God, you’re getting to know Jesus as well. Here is Psalm 2 we read about our choice of choosing Jesus and the consequences of failing to pursue God. The one thing the book of Psalms does better than any other book in the Bible is it connects human emotions in real life with God’s character. It’s real. It’s raw. It’s relational.
11 Serve the Lord with reverent fear, and rejoice with trembling.12 Submit to God’s royal son, or He will become angry, and you will be destroyed in the midst of all your activities–for His anger flares up in an instant. But what joy for all who take refuge in him!
Psalms 2:11-12
