Have you ever thought about the reasons why God allows enemies to follow you? Here in Judges chapter 3 we see one of the reasons. Israel’s enemies were allowed to exist to test them, to see if they would be obedient to God’s commands. The next time you run into an enemy and are frustrated, ask yourself, Am I being obedient to God in this?” It just might make a difference.
4 These people were left to test the Israelites–to see whether they would obey the commands the Lord had given to their ancestors through Moses.
