As Christians we have two priorities. First, is to love and pursue God. Second, is sharing the Gospel with all. You accomplish the second goal by concentrating on the first priority, for you can’t share good news if you aren’t connected to the Source. When it comes to dealing with people, the most important thing you can do is make a connection. You do this by finding common ground. Common ground breaks down walls. Common ground builds relationships. Common ground helps common interests become common bonds. Where there’s a connection, there’s possibility. That possibility is the salvation that God brings. Paul’s goal was to share the Gospel with everyone. To share the blessings God bestowed upon him with others. I think he succeeded, don’t you? Times haven’t changed. People haven’t changed. Finding common ground still works. Make today a day that you find common ground with someone in need of hearing Good News.
22 When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. 23 I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings.
1 Corinthians 9:22-23
