If there’s one thing that bothers me and proves that all human beings are fickle, it’s this: when humans fail, you can’t blame God for it. God doesn’t fail when humans fail. Yet so many blame God or use that occurrence to write Him off. You’ve heard people tell the story, “when this Christian failed at ___________, it destroyed my faith in God. And ever since I’ve abandoned my faith.” That’s the lamest excuse I’ve ever heard. I would bet the person speaking those words never truly had saving faith to begin with. Observing man’s behaviors is part of life, but associating a fallible, sinful by nature, rebellious toward God, man’s behavior and deeming God just like that tells me they don’t know the God of the Bible. If you went to a classical music concert, and the musicians botched Beethoven music, who would you be disappointed or mad at? Beethoven, or the musicians? Does this make sense? Here’s today’s truth, man will fail you, God never will. Never let one man or a group of people be your only example of God. If you do, you’ll fall right into the mentality of abandoning God for the sake of man. Don’t allow yourself to go there. It’s not worth it.
9 And because I preach this Good News, I am suffering and have been chained like a criminal. But the word of God cannot be chained. 10 So I am willing to endure anything if it will bring salvation and eternal glory in Christ Jesus to those God has chosen.11 This is a trustworthy saying: If we die with Him,we will also live with Him.12 If we endure hardship, we will reign with Him. If we deny Him, He will deny us. 13 If we are unfaithful, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny who He is.
2 Timothy 2:9-13
