The main difference between a genuine believer (follower of Jesus) and one that pretends to follow Him is this: a real follower does good deeds because he is already saved, it’s proof of his salvation. While a pretender does good deeds in order to get saved (earn his salvation). There’s a huge difference between the two. And that difference matters. Ask yourself why you do what you do? The answer just might change your life.
19 “And so, King Agrippa, I obeyed that vision from heaven. 20 I preached first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that all must repent of their sins and turn to God–and prove they have changed by the good things they do.
Acts 26:19-20
