All of us have weak moments. Times when our faith is crowded out with the emotions of the day. But when push comes to shove, our faith has to arise in us and overcome those untrustworthy emotions. Emotions are necessary, and much needed to help us enjoy life, but when the time comes where truth separates our emotions from our knowledge of truth, we must side with what we know to be true. Faith is what saves us. It’s what sustains us. It’s the only thing we have that God uses to help us stand firm. Without faith, we can’t stand firm in times of unwarranted persecution. How’s your faith today? Is it firm? If not, ask God to help pump it up.
9 Israel is no stronger than its capital, Samaria, and Samaria is no stronger than its king, Pekah son of Remaliah.Unless your faith is firm,I cannot make you stand firm.”
Isaiah 7:9
