Nothing Good Can Come Out Of Fighting God….

God uses people, good or evil, to accomplish His will. He is the One in control, not us. Once we accept this, we find peace, security, and strength in God. It’s God Who places people in leadership roles, and whether they are good or evil, they are serving His purpose. When we fight against them, we are fighting against God Himself. Nothing good can come out of fighting God, unless it’s in His will for us to do so, and that means if we are serving Him, good will follow. If we are serving ourselves, we will suffer greatly. Either way God wins. Why not side with the one Who always promotes Good, and always wins. It just takes a little sacrifice of self to join His side.

Caiaphas did not realize the implications of what he spoke. While he uttered blasphemy against Christ, God parodied his statement into truth (Ps. 76:10). The responsibility for the wicked meaning of his words belonged to Caiaphas, but God’s providence directed the choice of words so as to express the heart of God’s glorious plan of salvation (Acts 4:27,28). He actually was used by God as a prophet because he was the high priest and originally the high priest was the means of God’s will being revealed (2 Sam. ‪15:27‬).

45 Many of the people who were with Mary believed in Jesus when they saw this happen. 46 But some went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done. 47 Then the leading priests and Pharisees called the high council together. “What are we going to do?” they asked each other. “This man certainly performs many miraculous signs. 48 If we allow Him to go on like this, soon everyone will believe in Him. Then the Roman army will come and destroy both our Temple and our nation.”49 Caiaphas, who was high priest at that time, said, “You don’t know what you’re talking about! 50 You don’t realize that it’s better for you that one man should die for the people than for the whole nation to be destroyed.”51 He did not say this on his own; as high priest at that time he was led to prophesy that Jesus would die for the entire nation. 52 And not only for that nation, but to bring together and unite all the children of God scattered around the world.53 So from that time on, the Jewish leaders began to plot Jesus’ death. 54 As a result, Jesus stopped His public ministry among the people and left Jerusalem. He went to a place near the wilderness, to the village of Ephraim, and stayed there with His disciples. John 11:45-54
