Do You Have This Kind Of Faith?

Like Job, Meshach, Shadrach, Abendigo, Daniel, and Abraham, Habakkuk knew God intimately, to a level of trust that he could wholeheartedly welcome adversity with a confidence that God would rescue him. Do you have this kind of faith? Before you answer, I’m not trying to compare the amount of your faith you have or not have. I’m asking do you see God as fully trustworthy with your life? Do you trust God no matter what it might cost you? It’s not the amount of faith we have that matters most, it’s the worthiness of the recipient in which we place our faith that is most important. How we see God, determines our faith. And in the end (as Jesus told Peter), we should pray that our faith never fails us. How can it fail when we place it in God alone?

I trembled inside when I heard this;my lips quivered with fear.My legs gave way beneath me,and I shook in terror.I will wait quietly for the coming day when disaster will strike the people who invade us.17 Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails,and the fields lie empty and barren;even though the flocks die in the fields,and the cattle barns are empty,18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord!
