It's very humbling to know how deceitful and untrustworthy our hearts really are. And scary to think God knows our hearts, and exercises justice based on our actions. Maybe that's why so many people stay away from God; they fear His deserved justice. The one thing those same people miss out because they don't know the heart of our Creator, is the fact that Jesus makes us right with God. He exchanges our stony hearts and replaces it with a heart of flesh, fully capable of loving and living without the debilitating fear of failure. Jesus is so great, He erases the penalty of our sins and grants us mercy; immunity from its deteriorating effects. Being disgraced by someone is one thing, but abandoning the Fountain of Living Water and being disgraced by God is beyond my imagination. Ask God today to help etch this concept into your heart and empower you to go out and tell and show the world the real Truth about our Maker.
