How do you distinguish God's word from false teaching? God's word convicts, compels, prompts action, and humbles the listener. It's like a burning fire, and it always smashes anything unworthy to pieces. As it says in 1Timothy, it's sharper than any two-edged sword, dividing the soul and spirit. It's not always pleasant and welcoming, but it always serves its purpose: to convict, to edify, and to turn our focus back onto Him.
29 Does not My word burn like fire?”says the Lord.“Is it not like a mighty hammer that smashes a rock to pieces?
