You hear people say, “Do some soul searching. Find yourself. Look within”. The key to finding yourself is actually losing yourself for Jesus’ sake. What I mean by that is looking inside yourself will only bring disappointment, because what you’ll find in a sinful, unpredictable, selfish nature. Buts it’s where you must start in order to find God. You see, once you realize your hopeless state, your need for a Savior becomes the utmost importance. God now makes sense. Then you start pursuing Him. The one Who knows you better than you know yourself. That’s when you truly start to live and know your “why”. You learn more about your self by knowing the One Who knows you best. The deeper relationship you form with our Maker, the more life makes sense. It’s not easy to accept sometimes, but it makes sense. The true way to know yourself is to look through the eyes (like a microscope) of God, the One Who created us for our purpose. Only then can you move forward and grow and serve your divine destiny.
1 O Lord, You have examined my heart and know everything about me.2 You know when I sit down or stand up.You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do.4 You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord.5 You go before me and follow me.You place Your hand of blessing on my head.6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,too great for me to understand!
