Pride is a huge issue. Throughout the Bible God clearly and constantly declares His stance against it. Pride opposes love. Pride promotes self. God is so adamant about it, He tells us how much He hates it. Pride comes before a fall. Never forget how much God opposes those who are prideful. Fame, greed, riches, power, beauty, and lust all promote pride in us. Anything that turns our focus on self will allow pride to sprout and grow. If we are not careful, it will turn our hearts away from the most important Person in our lives. And ultimately to our humiliation.
