Death: to the unsaved it brings terrors. It’s a fear that controls people like a plague. To the believer it’s the soul separating from the body, part of the transformation process of being redeemed from death (punishment). It’s doom for the unbeliever, and redemption for the believer. Knowing this either causes fear and uncertainty, or focus and gratitude. You either live in fear of death, or live knowing your days are numbered with salvation on the other side.
O death, bring on your terrors! O grave, bring on your plagues!
