A Purposeful, Meaningful Life...

Here is what most people in life miss out on. Jesus is a “Fuddy-Duddy”, “He takes the fun out of life”, they say. But what do people do when the fun ends? When they return from Las Vegas and the consequences followed them home? When they find out they have cancer? When their spouse leaves them? When a child dies? When life happens? Jesus said it Himself, “He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life”....”aside from Me you can do nothing” (unless we stay connected to Him -the Vine). The truth is “Life is Hard”, and I’d rather live it, walking side-by-side, hand-in-hand with the Author of life, than trying to figure it out on my own. Yes, there are guidelines and restrictions, but that’s what keeps us secure in this unstable, “me focused” world. I’d rather surrender to the Ultimate Judge now and live a purposeful, meaningful life, than randomly stumble through life, always guessing, and never finding significance and self-worth, only to ultimately stand before God, only to hear those condemning words, “Away from Me... I never knew you”.

28 Then Jesus said, “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30 For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
