Our Response to “Does God Care?”...
When people say God doesn’t care, how are we to respond? Why does He allow suffering? Why are there so many poor people on earth? And the questions go on and on. Fact is, He does care, and He does provide. Here He specifically tells Moses to instruct the people on specifically what to do and not do when it comes time to harvest their crops. Not picking up what they dropped and leaving the outer edges of the fields unpicked for the poor and foreigners truly shows God’s heart. He cares for all of us, no matter your financial or social status.
22 “When you harvest the crops of your land, do not harvest the grain along the edges of your fields, and do not pick up what the harvesters drop. Leave it for the poor and the foreigners living among you. I am the Lord your God.”
Leviticus 23:22
