This is a comforting passage living in a day where people call evil good, and good evil. Not worrying about evil prospering is a relief. Knowing they will fade away like grass should help us endure the opposition. Knowing we should focus on trusting God and doing good, makes our days less complicated. Knowing that when we align our hearts with God’s heart, it brings delight, should motivate us to continue to do good regardless of the opposition we face. We are on the winning team. This should be our mentality. Instead of winning a trophy in the end, we receive eternal paradise. If this doesn’t light your fire, your wood must be wet.
1 Don’t worry about the wickedor envy those who do wrong.2 For like grass, they soon fade away.Like spring flowers, they soon wither. 3 Trust in the Lord and do good.Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.4 Take delight in the Lord,and He will give you your heart’s desires. 5 Commit everything you do to the Lord.Trust Him, and He will help you.
