I think it’s so ironic how our judicial system was developed based on the Bible, God’s word. Follow through the 10 Commandments and you’ll see many of the precepts in which our system is based. Here in Numbers 35, the “innocent until proven guilty” concept is stated. Everyone is given a trial. And no one could be condemned on the testimony of only one person. Isn’t it funny how America rejects God and His Book, the Bible, yet embraces the justice He demands when they are wronged?
12 These cities will be places of protection from a dead person’s relatives who want to avenge the death. The slayer must not be put to death before being tried by the community.
Numbers 35:12
30 “All murderers must be put to death, but only if evidence is presented by more than one witness. No one may be put to death on the testimony of only one witness.
Numbers 35:30
