The one thing about the Gospel, that those outside looking in fail to see, is that the salvation it provides helps us live eternally, but also in the present. You see the Gospel gives us hope, that hope is in our future. It’s promised to us, a guarantee to happen. It’s what helps us through the tough times. Not only that, it sets our minds on eternal things, people (who last forever). When we have this hope, and the secure mindset it brings, it helps us to do good for others. Which gives others hope as well. When you have the opportunity to do good, do it. It will infuse hope into those who desperately need it, while feeding your soul with life-giving nutrients it needs to continue to grow. Be a beacon of hope in someone’s life today. Share the truth of the gospel with them. Then stand back and let God do His work.
12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.
Proverbs 13:12
