A sure-fire way of ruining someone’s day is to lie to someone. The way you present it, also plays a major role in wounding a spirit. As it says here, when we choose gentleness and respect in dealing with people, regardless of how they are treating us, it provides us with fresh fruit to eat, and it edifies the other person. It’s not blowing smoke.... rather it’s just applying the “Golden Rule”.
