Never, never, in a million years, would I ever say this to someone who has lost a loved one (specifically a child). And neither should you. Bildad says this to Job. If I was Job, I would’ve simply walked away from him when he said it. He wouldn’t have been given another chance to speak. Period. We have no business stepping into the role of God, especially when we don’t know the truth. Never forget this, it will save face for you, and a lot of pain for someone else, later in life.
4 Your children must have sinned against Him, so their punishment was well deserved.
Job 8:4
