The one thing about sin that we as human beings don’t understand is, though it may be enjoyable at the moment, it robs us of all God’s blessings. It desensitizes us, even remotely, to have the ability to recognize and reap the joy that God’s blessings are meant to have on us. It’s like going into a candy store and choosing bland, unflavored rice cakes over the sweetest, most delicious candy, and thinking “boy, this is good”.
25 Your wickedness has deprived you of these wonderful blessings.Your sin has robbed you of all these good things.
Jeremiah 5:25
