Sometimes the only difference someone will ever see in a believer that he will not see in everyone else, is in the believer’s grieving, he will see hope. It won’t be the type of hopeless despair, like you see at most funerals. It will be an expectant, short-term absence, knowing loved ones will be reunited kind of hope. This is the one thing that Christians have, that no one can argue or ever take away. Is it in you? Do you recognize it and give thanks to God for giving you this great and wonder gift? It’s what sets us apart, and helps get us through the tough times.
13 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope.
1 Thessalonians 4:13
