James couldn’t have been any more clear about the Christian faith than when he tells us to exam God’s truth, accept it, and to never forget it. This is the reward and consequence of a person’s faith. What this is essentially saying is that in order to make faith real it has to be personal, otherwise it’s just an ideology for all to read about, like all the others out there. People either do it, making it personal (as James states here) or they blow it off (never having the Spirit’s gift of insight due to lack of desire). Nothing more needs to be said. It’s just sad most people have never taken the time to “look carefully” into God’s word. God’s word is alive and active..... only revealed to those that choose to believe.
25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.
James 1:25
