I hear people give testimonies and use analogies like God rescued me, He saved me from drowning. But in reality, God did more than that; He resurrected you from the dead. Before we know God, we are dead to Him. Once we see the error of our ways and repent, God resurrects us back to life, actually a new life. He performs heart transplant surgery. We are no longer the same; we are fit for Heaven and ready to go there. Once this happens, there is no turning back. The old is gone, and the new is ushered in.
26 And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. 27 And I will put My Spirit in you so that you will follow My decrees and be careful to obey My regulations.
Ezekiel 36:26-27
