The World is a system that man has set up to make himself happy without Jesus. Jesus is not welcome in the world’s system. If God isn’t part of your life, you’re living for things that won’t deliver on what they promise. It’s like a farmer needing rain for his crops, seeing dark clouds off in the distance, thinking to himself ”finally, the rain is coming”, then never receiving one drop. Sadly, we don’t realize this until we get to the end of our lives and learn it with little time to do anything about it. Embrace Jesus and you’ll guarantee yourself depth, hope, and meaning, in a shallow, transient world.
15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.
1 John 2:15-17
