When we accumulate stuff through ungodly means, the satisfaction we think it should bring never lives up to our expectations. Matter of fact, it eventually brings heart ache, worry, and stress when it’s taken away. Don’t fall into the trap of modern day marketers, things don’t satisfy, so you shouldn’t take the bait of their message, “be discontent with what you have, in order to be content with what they sell”.
7 All her carved images will be smashed. All her sacred treasures will be burned. These things were bought with the money earned by her prostitution, and they will now be carried away to pay prostitutes elsewhere.
