The bottom line when it comes to faith in God and being a believer is this: when you have a desire to know God, and know truth, He becomes real to you. I’m not saying He isn’t real already, I’m saying He becomes close to you, real to you; part of your life. It’s not until you ask yourself the hard questions and are willing to accept the answers, that you’re reborn, with new eyes, able to see spiritually. I recently watched a video about people, who are color-blind, being able to see color for the first time. Their responses were unforgettable. Every single one cried. They asked the question, “is this for real”? “Is this what the real world looks like”? I thought, “this is the exact same response believers get from God when their eyes are opened when they become believers.” But it doesn’t stop there. It’s the same response you get every time God reveals more truth, and more of Himself to you when you pursue Him with all of your heart. You have to want to know God, and truth, with a desire that trumps all other things. When you do, you’ll see things like never before, and things will start to make more sense. You won’t understand all the “WHYS” in life, but you will trust the Creator of everything more and more each day, making you “WISE”, and the “WHYS” less and less important.
17 The Lord is righteous in everything He does;He is filled with kindness.18 The Lord is close to all who call on Him,yes, to all who call on Him in truth.19 He grants the desires of those who fear Him;He hears their cries for help and rescues them.20 The Lord protects all those who love Him,but He destroys the wicked. 21 I will praise the Lord, and may everyone on earth bless His holy nameforever and ever.
