If you truly love someone, you will tell them the truth, in order to lead them to repentance. Correcting those we love is a delicate matter. You do it out of love, but you also do it in a respectful manner. Regardless of your approach, you don’t let them willfully continue to sin.
My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, and don’t be upset when He corrects you.12 For the Lord corrects those He loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.
Proverbs 3:11-12a
