Man’s pursuit of pleasure, excitement, and joy can’t compare to the joy one gets when he experiences God’s presence. It’s what most never think about, and thus miss out on in this life. The ones that choose to live this life for the pleasures of this world (mentioned above), are ultimately only living on the outskirts of what true joy really is. A dog only enjoys the scraps that fall from the table because he was never invited to dine at the table with the Master. And it guarantees them regret and suffering in the life to come.
6 You have endowed him with eternal blessings and given him the joy of Your presence.
Psalms 21:6
