In the end we are responsible for our sin. We can’t blame anyone else. We can’t make excuses for the choices we’ve made. And we certainly can’t fool God. There’s no sugar-coating it. We are lost because of our foolishness, held captive by our own sins. Our lack of self-control will contribute to our death. Think about it, our lifestyle determines our fate (health wise). We suffer from our bad choices. A life lived without God is a lonely, discontented, purposeless life, ending with a few who knew us standing over our coffin “wondering what could’ve been”. Don’t allow yourself to go there. Sin isn’t worth what it promises.
21 For the Lord sees clearly what a man does, examining every path he takes.22 An evil man is held captive by his own sins; they are ropes that catch and hold him.23 He will die for lack of self-control;he will be lost because of his great foolishness.
Proverbs 5:21-23
