How can you expect to live a stable, consistent life, while practicing evil behaviors? It’s just not possible. Evil is so unpredictable. It breeds dissension and disunity. It breeds jealousy, and revenge, which are all self-centered attitudes. Most of all, it doesn’t bring satisfaction. Why? Because when you go against God (doing what is right), you can never “feel” good about yourself, your conscience won’t allow it. You can never have peace and stability when wickedness rules in your heart. This is a truth we must never forget, because the world wants us to believe this lie. Any time you focus solely on yourself (meaning to please yourself) at the cost of others, turmoil follows, not peace. Don’t buy into the world’s philosophy; it will only leave you standing on shaky ground.
3 Wickedness never brings stability, but the godly have deep roots.
