There’s a common theme throughout scripture: God knows us better than we know ourselves. Why then do we not trust Him? Listen to Him? Run to Him in times of need? Share our joys with Him? The answer is simply, our sinful nature always wants to run from God. It tells us we don’t need Him. It prompts us to “do it our way, not His way”. If God made our hearts, then He knows how they work. He understands everything our hearts do. If we use common sense, we need to stop going with how we feel, stop listening to that little voice that tells us to trust ourselves, and start going with what we know to be true. God knows our hearts, therefore we need to trust Him. There’s no other path in life that will determine our attitude, than knowing and adhering to this truth.
15 He made their hearts, so He understands everything they do.
