Truth matters. It can be spoken by believers and non-believers alike. When God wants His truth proclaimed, He will use anyone to proclaim it, even if that person doesn’t realize he/she is speaking it. Here’s an example in Mark chapter 15. The Roman soldier, who probably hated Jews, witnesses the experience of Jesus’ crucifixion, and proclaims Him to be the son of God. This just goes to show all of us, if we don’t proclaim God’s truth, then someone else will. And if they don’t then inanimate objects will, like rocks. Get to know God. Allow Him to shape your thoughts. Proclaim His truth. Ask Him to empower you with His Spirit. Be the mouthpiece of His truth in the lives of others, by living for Him. It just might save a soul today.
39 When the Roman officer who stood facing Him saw how He had died, he exclaimed, “This man truly was the Son of God!”
Mark 15:39
