Never compromise with justice. Don’t allow money, prestige, or any sort of gain blind you into participating in corrupt behavior. Bribes (which stimulates greed) tends to do just that; blinds you or deceives you from doing what is right. Take my word for it, what the Bible says about bribes and justice, is true. Bribes will corrupt all who do not take them seriously, not literally.
19 You must never twist justice or show partiality. Never accept a bribe, for bribes blind the eyes of the wise and corrupt the decisions of the godly. 20 Let true justice prevail, so you may live and occupy the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
Deuteronomy 16:19-20
