Patience is key in being a follower of Jesus. God will always do what He says He’ll do. God never renigs on a promise He’s made, it just may not be in within our expectational timeframe. This should always give us hope, the drive to press on, to never get tired of doing good. We just need to work on our ability to wait, for it’s just a matter of time when it comes to God fulfilling His promises. In the Israelites case it took about 45 years, to reach the Promised Land. In our case it may be today, tomorrow, or when we are ushered into His glory. Our patience will solidify our resolve once we establish a rock solid trust in our God.
44 And the Lord gave them rest on every side, just as He had solemnly promised their ancestors. None of their enemies could stand against them, for the Lord helped them conquer all their enemies. 45 Not a single one of all the good promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything He had spoken came true.
Joshua 21:44-45
