When a man chooses other gods, war erupts in his heart. The void that is birthed when we enter this world is only deepened with darker space when God is not welcomed in. Yet mankind craving his sinful nature, invents other gods to take His place. When man cannot gain the significance found only in God Himself, he settles for anything that brings him a hint of satisfaction, only to find out soon that counterfeits never fulfill their promises. It’s like an arrogant athlete “guaranteeing” victory, only to lay an egg performance in a humiliating defeat. God created a space that only He can fill, and until we invite Him in, chaos only increases in the war of our hearts.
