What is the end result of our belief in and acceptance of Jesus? We are REBORN and ADOPTED into the family of God. Our faith in Jesus ushers in our becoming a family member of our Heavenly Father. Think about it, one if the greatest acts of love we can ever experience here on earth is the process of adoption. Choosing to love someone based on heart-felt concern for the well-being of another human being not on merit or favor, is true love. God’s love for us is in the same manner. He chooses us, not because we deserve it or earn it, but because He just chooses to do it. We are grafted into the tree of life. What’s even more amazing is the end result: we get to experience God now and forever.
10 He came into the very world He created, but the world didn’t recognize Him. 11 He came to His own people, and even they rejected Him. 12 But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God. 13 They are reborn–not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.14 So the Word became human and made His home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen His glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
