The one thing we must always remember is that it’s God Who determines the rules of fairness, not us. The basis is always built on justice. If God is just, and we are not, then how can we base our fairness on anything else? Basing our decision-making on “feelings” isn’t wise, yet we continue to do it. We are not God, so we are not qualified to step into His role and make rules based on our own inadequacies? Senseless and perpetual disappointment lead to zero positive results. We have to accept God’s sovereignty. You can’t out run His omnipresence, so why try?
11 The Lord demands accurate scales and balances; He sets the standards for fairness. 12 A king detests wrongdoing, for his rule is built on justice.
Proverbs 16:11-12
