God’s love for humanity allows people to not follow Him, but when those people start to fight against Him, it’s foolish to think they’ll win. Love’s freedom comes with consequences, as do all choices that we make. When you choose selfishness over love, you experience these consequences, and you end up lonely, isolated, and sometimes dead.
