No matter what adversity we face. No matter hard things get. No matter how painful things can be, nothing we do for God is ever wasted. Never forget this, because that’s real hope. The resurrection gives us hope and steadfastness; it enables us to go on in the face of overwhelming and difficult circumstances. It’s the anchor of our soul. It’s the well-spring of life. It’s where our significance gets its purpose. It’s what feeds a hungry soul. What the world longs for, and cannot attain, Jesus gives freely. This free gift transforms death into life. As Jim Elliot once said, “he is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose”.
56 For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. 57 But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.58 So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
1 Corinthians 15:56-58
