Why? Why do people die? Everyone has asked themself this question after someone close to them dies. It’s human nature to ask the “why” question. We may never get an answer, but here in Isaiah chapter 57 we get a possible explanation for our “why” question. It’s God’s way of protecting people from the evil to come. That may mean protecting them from acting out an evil act, or from an evil act of another. We may never know the full extent of the answer, but we can know the One Who is in control. The bottom line is God knows best, we don’t. We have to trust Him with the “why” when it comes to death, for He has conquered death, and the chains of Hell cannot and will not hold anyone who follows His path. We will Rest In Peace when we die, because we will rest in Him.
1 Good people pass away;the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why.No one seems to understandthat God is protecting them from the evil to come.2 For those who follow godly pathswill rest in peace when they die.
