What people think about God’s apparent absence, His immediate lack of carrying out justice, which causes people to think evil acts are okay, will someday be punished. People’s lack of responsibility to God, eventually develops into an irreverence towards Him. And that leads to unrestrained behaviors, gradually increasing in evil acts. After a while, any sliver of the thought of God being just slips away to their own demise. Just think, one day after living a life abandoned from God, all of the sudden you find yourself standing before Him having to give an account. There’s no excuses, no justifications, and no way out. You will get what you deserve; justice will be served. God’s timing isn’t our timing, so throw out the inclination of “out of sight out of mind” when it comes to God. The only thing that can save you is Jesus, and He will not when you abandon your pursuit of truth. Knowledge and responsibility to this concept of God’s justice is what keeps us in tune and our behaviors consciously guarded. We reap what we sow. God is just, He always repays in full.
For the Lord is a God who gives just punishment; He always repays in full.
Jeremiah 51:56c
