Spiritually Dead….

The reason people don’t acknowledge God, or even respect those who do is because they are spiritually dead. How can a man expect to see evidence of a Spiritual Being (God) if he doesn’t have the ability to see spiritually? When we live solely for the purpose of pleasing ourselves, for our own pleasure, we become spiritually dead. How can we expect others to honor God if they are spiritually dead? So what do we do about it? First, pray for ourselves; that we continue to seek the Lord. Then pray for others; for their spiritual eyes to be open; for the blindfold to be removed from their eyes. It starts with dying to self. Pleasure is a selfish pursuit when done solely for its effects. If we as believers can live in such a way that proves humility is a virtue worth pursuing, along with God’s help, we can help revive the spiritual “deadness” of each soul. Until then, stop expecting people to accept God’s ways. It’s not possible for spiritually blind people to seek out our Creator. There must be a need for Him acknowledged first. Without the transforming power of the Gospel, it’s ludicrous to expect spiritually dead people to be alive to the truth. Live in such a way that shows people what they are missing out on. And sometimes use words.
