The loneliness and rejection that came from the yet unfulfilled prophecies was more that most could bear. Imagine doing 100% of your work based on faith? And to think, most of them were killed in the end. These were special people that God hand-chose to be His mouth pieces. Ordinary people will the ability and resolve to do hard things. It gives me a new outlook on them. The next time you read about one of God’s prophets, keep in mind the life and experiences they must of had. It will give you a whole new respect for those that chose to live by faith, a respect that the prophets had to wait their entire lives and even die for.

21 “And the day will come when I will cause the ancient glory of Israel to revive, and then, Ezekiel, your words will be respected. Then they will know that I am the Lord.” Ezekiel 29:21
