Have you ever thought about what we value? I mean the actual value we place on things? Gold is worth good money, but in desperate times, it can’t save you. It can’t heal a disease. A bucket of diamonds is valuable, but if you’re alone in the desert, dying of thirst, a bucket of water is more valuable to you than diamonds, correct? What we value most doesn’t always correlate to utmost importance. What matters most is what correlates with God and eternity. The most important things in life are not things. The most important things in life are people (relationships). Never forget this truth.
19 “They will throw their money in the streets, tossing it out like worthless trash. Their silver and gold won’t save them on that day of the Lord’s anger. It will neither satisfy nor feed them, for their greed can only trip them up.
