I wonder what people who call themselves Christians would say about this verse. David says he prays only to God. He doesn’t pray to dead canonized people. He doesn’t pray to the moon or stars. And he doesn’t pray to mystical characters. He simply prays to God. The Angel told John in Revelation not to bow down and worship him. For only God is the One in Whom we direct our prayers. No one else. When we consistently open our hearts to the One that knows us best, we grow, and mature spiritually. And best yet, we know God on a deeper, more intimate level. We are to only pray to Him and no one else.
O Lord, hear me as I pray; pay attention to my groaning.2 Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God,for I pray to no one but You.3 Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to You and wait expectantly.
Psalms 5:1-3
