Anyone who thinks people who gain fame, popularity, riches, and power through evil, wicked means, is truly happy, think again. Their joy is fleeting; only lasting a short while. Living a lie takes work, and takes its toll eventually. There is no stability in gain by inappropriate means. Eventually when the sun comes out (and it will come out), their gain will wither in the sunshine due to shallow roots. Ill-gotten gain is temporary, and it’s not something people should envy.
3 Wickedness never brings stability, but the godly have deep roots.
Proverbs 12:3
